That said Odd Magnus Williamson, who participated in the "Prehistoric Attitudes" campaign with regard to the charity Care.

In the campaign, he emphasizes the importance of a boy and a man dare to say when they seek a position of conduct based on sex. Whether in the boy's party or at a party.

The brocode takes precedence over everything

Abdirahman Hassan, a journalism student, wrote in the wake of #metoo a column where he called for more male voices in the # metoo debate. He is not part of the CARE campaign, but in the column, he presented a theory explaining why many men are silent.

"It's no wonder that in many boys' streets, you put a" brocode "in front of the safety and respect of the individual, that you still have to support your friend," says Hassan.

Hassan says that he sees discriminatory attitudes based on sex, especially online, and commented on articles dealing with women and feminism. A survey conducted by Ipsos for Amnesty in July 2018 reveals that about 300,000 women are online and that women often go to war because they are women.

Hassan, however, experiences a change in attitude among younger men and his friends, who previously did not identify as feminists.

"I think the conscience and the debate # metoo have a lot to say, because today more and more people are identifying as feminists.

"We dare not report when something is discriminatory

Care therefore created the subject of prehistoric attitudes and gave most people the opportunity to submit gender-based attitudes that they felt belonged to the past.

The campaign took a strong commitment and more than 200,000 people watched videos where Norwegian celebrities present opinions that, according to the organization, should be prehistoric. Therefore, the "winner of the attitude" must be presented at the House of Culture on Thursday.

– I think a lot of attitudes are unconscious and attitudes that we have heard so much that we are finally doing nothing about them. And that we do not dare to point out that your friend or girlfriend is actually discriminatory, "said Gry Larsen, secretary general.

Harmful for women and men

According to Larsen, the goal of the campaign is to lift these attitudes in the light and show how they can be harmful for women and men.

Care is an organization that typically works with women's rights in countries that are not close to reaching Norway with equal opportunities.

However, according to Larsen, the experience of these countries shows that it is absolutely essential to work with attitudes and that they know that many of the same attitudes also exist in Norway.

– The attitude that women have a responsibility in the way they dress, that they do not go to nachspiel, in connection with a sexual assault, really pisses me off. It puts men and women in a stall, "says Larsen.

An attitude of investment

And this is perhaps only a change in attitude, also said comedian Odd Magnus Williamson. He chose to participate in Care's campaign to help create a better future for the next generation.

– One day, all boys are fathers, and half of them have daughters, and then their daughters will have just about the same difficulties they are seeing now. So working with it will be an investment for your children and grandchildren, says Williamson.
