– We had a power outage in the area from 19h52. At the moment, 322 customers are running out of energy, informs the information officer in Hafslund, Morten Schau, at RB shortly after 20:00 Thursday night.
The power failure is due to a fire in a transformer, called a transformer, in Gamleveden, Kløfta.
The fire was extinguished soon after, but the police and the fire department asked the first inhabitants of the area to stay indoors because of the smoke.
The police say something later that the smoke is about to dwindle.
Morten Schau, from Hafslund, said that it could be a long time before many consumers of electricity get back electricity.
– Many of our customers can be connected after a short time, while customers directly connected to the transformer may have to wait a little longer. It depends, among other things, on the extent of the damage after the fire, Schau says before continuing.
"If the transformer is completely broken, we need to set up an assembly, but it can take time, if not hours," he says.
