"It's great that so many people still think I should be prime minister, there has been a lot of debate and discussion recently, so I understand that there have been changes.

This is how Erna Solberg comments on the latest NRK Prime Minister's report before Christmas.

In the survey conducted by Norstat, 46% of respondents said it was best placed to hold the position of prime minister in Norway. 36.6% responded to Jonas Gahr Støre, leader of the AP, while 17% responded that they did not know.

Solberg has been more popular than Støre in all NRK prime ministers in 2018. However, it is far from the record performance of more than 60% in January. 46% is Solberg's lowest participation rate this year.

"When I reached 60% in January, the Labor Party had serious challenges and problems," Solberg said, citing the metoo-reveal that shook the party.
