The scale of the Rambiz crane has contributed in recent days to the safety of the ship, where chains have been stretched around the bow and at the stern of the ship towards the ground.

At the present time, it is not certain that Rambiz can continue to stock frigates. At the same time, the KNM "Helge Ingstad" may slip into deeper waters.

Asgeir Spange Brekke, Communications Advisor for Defense Materials, is still unable to answer when help will continue.

– It's the weather. The weather determines a lot here. We do not know when Rambiz can get back to work, "he told Dagbladet.

Yellow hazard warning

Winds of up to 35 meters per second are reported in the Rogaland and Hordaland areas from Wednesday evening to Thursday. The Meteorological Institute has sent a yellow warning to the region.

On Tuesday, the navy said on its website that the weather cover could make movements in the ship:

"There is still a significant risk that the ship will sink into deeper waters, and there are significant forces and factors that affect the situation and the vessel is constantly monitored."

Increased risk

Weather forecasts also increase the risk of personnel, additional material damage and constraints on Rambiz anchorages.

Security work continued on dry land after Wednesday. This involves fixing and tightening the chains on the ground. The defense announced Wednesday that the frigate had been at rest for 24 hours.

The defense states that heavy equipment is used in security work, which takes time.
