Storting Group of Frp on Immigration – warns Siv Jensen: – Grasrota "will click"

While Siv Jensen is sitting with the rest of the party leadership in the Progress Party and negotiating with the Conservatives, the Liberal Party and the Christian People's Party about a new government platform, the Storting Group remain suspended and wait for the result in Oslo.

They have a clear message to Siv and to others:

– We must have a hardening of immigration policy. A polished FRP victory. If we do not get it, click on "Grassroots", warns Leirstein, who travels a lot and believes he has a good impression of the state of mind in the evening.

When the Liberals entered the Conservative and parliamentary government last year, the Liberal Party won a victory over the increase in the number of refugees. In the budget for 2019, 3,000 have been adopted.

– The 3,000 refugee quotas that Venstre obtained in the previous round must be reversed. This is an unusually high number, says Per-Willy Amundsen, FRP representative in Troms.

Raja: – The summits of the points of view are not in agreement

Jon Helgheim, spokesman for the MP's immigration policy, believes that the victory of the Liberal Party last year has already been recognized. Helgheim was present at Gran during the government negotiations yesterday.

– This has already been implemented in the budget for 2019, so this has been done, says Helgheim.

Abid Raja does not believe that the Frp summits agree with Per-Willy Amundsen that the number of quota refugees needs to be reduced.

– He is there. I am sure that his own members of the government do not agree with him on this point. For example, the Minister of Justice today. He can call and give his opinion, says Abid Raja to Dagbladet.

– I see no reason to throw the torches into the ongoing negotiations with the government. They will find a good balance as we managed the Jeløya, he says.

Wanting 5000 quota refugees

The young left-wing leader Sondre Hansmark Persen met today with the negotiating delegations in Gran. He said the RPF will not win a close victory without a fight.

– We are satisfied with the 3,000 quota refugees in the budget, but have more sense of the KrF proposal. It's the same thing that the UN has asked us to do now, which is 5,000. So we have to stop putting children in a temporary place, stop sending them back to war zones.

– If Willy Amundsen calls 3000 too abnormally high, he must learn mathematics. In the Jeløya platform, it is also indicated that, as long as the number of asylum arrivals is low, more quota refugees will be accepted. I think most people agree that it's the best way to receive refugees, he says.

Stronger for the family reunion

Yesterday, it became clear that in 2018, 2,554 new asylum seekers arrived in Norway. This represents a decrease of 900 from the previous year and the lowest recorded since the mid-1990s. At the same time, the number of family immigrants is much higher, estimated at around 11,000 people.

The Progress Party lost in the Storting, but hopes to win a victory with a new government containing the KrF and the V.

– Your residence in Norway may increase before you are entitled to family reunification or the rules governing the people you can meet become stricter, says Ulf Leirstein.

Requires forced return of refugees

In addition to decreasing the number of refugees and decreasing the number of family reunions, Storting members believe that it is important to ensure that refugees return more when the areas where they fled are in security.

Today, it is based on volunteering. This means that the spokesperson for FRP's immigration policy is not enough.

– The principle of returning home when it is safe should be a general rule. This is important for trust in the asylum system, which is terribly thin. This can involve a very large number of refugees, who can contribute to making the immigration policy sustainable.

– So, families who have settled in Norway with children who speak Norwegian and go to school here are forced to return after several years in Norway?

– Someone will do a lot of harm and put strong emotions into the swing. But if it is safe, those who stay here will take the place of someone who really needs it. I hope that most Norwegians do not see solidarity, says Jon Helgheim.

Do not think Frp wins

Hege Storhaug, of the Human Rights Department (HRS), believes that members of Frp Storting will be disappointed with the outcome of the negotiations.

– We do not think it's realistic for the PR and the Conservatives to get something more special about tightening the immigration policy with the Liberals and the KrF. They would prefer to have the most open borders to feel like good people, says Storhaug to Dagbladet.

In any case, the PR will continue to sit in the government, Storhaug believes.

– Siv Jensen has had several opportunities to leave the government on the issue of immigration, the latest with the Marrakech agreement. When it does not go on, I strongly doubt that these negotiations will lead the Frp to leave the government, because they will not have more penetration to tighten, says Storhaug.
