Caught in the water and lost control
The Havarikommission and the Navy were few with information about what happened. The armed forces previously reported that the frigate had absorbed water, lost control of its trajectory and then drifted adrift.
From 4 to 26 November, at Hjeltefjord, north of Sotra, the frigate collided with the tanker. The frigate failed after the collision and eight people on board were more easily injured. The tanker "Sola", loaded 250 meters long, was slightly wounded.
The control capability of the frigate must have disappeared immediately after the incident.
Pending Storage Jobs
Since the collision, the storage work is very demanding.
In connection with the rescue work, the navy says on its websites today that the ship has been silent for 24 hours.
On Wednesday, two powerful chains formed a hedge of the ship. These are tied to the ground. The defense says that it is still impossible to take any further action regarding the accident because of the storms.
Risk of movement
The scale of the Rambiz crane has contributed in recent days to the safety of the ship, where chains have been stretched around the bow and at the stern of the ship towards the ground.
This work was to be suspended Wednesday morning.
On Tuesday, the navy said on its website that the weather cover could make movements in the ship:
"There is still a significant risk that the ship will sink into deeper waters, and there are significant forces and factors that affect the situation and the vessel is constantly monitored."
