The fight between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov – After the scenes of scandal: Four million fine

A whole world of MMA was shocked by the scenes taking place in the ring during the great battle between Irishman Conor McGregor (30) and Khabib Nurmagomedov of the Russian part of Dagestan in October.

Nurmagomedov jumped over the fence and entered the room where he attacked a spectator. All of this escalated into a mass battle in the ring. And at the same time, people from Nurmagomedov's support system attacked McGregor.

The case sparked considerable controversy and the two main characters were punished: McGregor was sentenced to a six-month quarantine and fined $ 50,000 (more than $ 500,000).

For Nurmagomedov, the appearance ends with a ban of nine months and a fine of just over 4.2 million euros. He writes The Guardian.

Not happy

The Russian himself is pronounced on the sentence twitter, with the two words "politics forever". He is not happy, says the management.

– It's not fair at all. Khabib has to pay 4 million and Conor get it with 500,000? Is it meat? asks the manager Ali Abdelaziz.

Reactions after the fight have been moderate. The profile of the Norwegian MMA, Jack Hermansson, was among those who responded.

– If the UFC does not hit hard violence after the game, I am terrified by the fact that it will be a trend among athletes. In this case, it will ruin the reputation of the sport as a whole, said Jack Hermansson in Dagbladet.

Kaos

Theories of what was the triggering cause were numerous. Among other things, it was reported several hostile words between the two combat teams, in addition to things outside the ring that applied to the support apparatus.

Nurmagomedov was suddenly thrown over the fence and attacked his teammate and jiu-jitsu coach, Dillon Danis.

The attack would have occurred because Danis would have provoked Nurmagomedov for a long time, both on social networks and with elements called during the fight.

But it may be that what caused the cup to sink completely towards Nurmagomedov was when he saw that Danis was in turmoil with Rizvan Magomedov. He is president of the agency agency Dominance MMA, which represents Nurmagomedov.

In the end, Khabib and McGregor were escorted out of the arena by police, along with several other people involved.

It turned out later that it was McGregor who had launched the first battle against one of the coaches of Nurmagomedov. McGregor decided not to report the case.
