The new Kia Soul is twice the size of the battery

Kia had previously announced a new edition of Soul for Electric Cars at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and on Wednesday night, at the Norwegian time, she was being introduced for the first time.

The battery goes from 30 to 64 kilowatt hours. Engine power ranges from 111 to 204 horsepower. The torque is 395 Newton.

It's the same line of conduct as Kia e-Niro and Hyundai Kona, we'll believe it. In the press release, Kia writes that the range is considerably longer, without specifying anything.

We can add that the closely related Hyundai Kona has a specified range of up to 482 kilometers. It is not unreasonable to assume that the soul will be in the same bed.

Goodbye to CHAdeMO

Now, Kia is also abandoning the CHAdeMO standard for fast loading of Soul. Like other new Hyundai and Kia electric cars, Soul is equipped with a CCS connector.

How fast can this be ignored, but probably at least 100 kilowatts. The battery is also fluid cooled, which should allow it to be stored efficiently at acceptable temperatures, even during fast charging at high speeds.

It is also claimed that the car offers a better driving experience, as it has independent rear suspension, different driving modes and regenerative braking on the rear wheel steering wheel. These help to brake the car until stagnation without pressing the brake pedal.

The car will also adjust its regeneration capacity according to the traffic. Then there is a flow of traffic, it will regenerate less, and more there is beginning and end of the massacre, if we understood correctly.

Comes in the second quarter of next year

Otherwise, the car will be equipped with common security systems, such as a flight alert wizard and file assistance. Until now, Kia Norway has no price to announce, but they write that it will be on sale in Norway in the second quarter of next year.
