– The pilot had only four hours of experience of the aircraft type – NRK Hedmark and Oppland – Local information, television and radio

The Marine Commission is of the opinion that the pilot did not have sufficient experience in controlling small aircraft of this type. In the recent report on the accident today, it appears that the aircraft infiltrated and marched before hitting the ground.

There were two people in the plane and both lost their lives in the accident.

The plane crashed on a plot at Veurne, outside Hamar.

Unstable landing

It was last September 19th that the pilot and a passenger were with the plane. The starting point was Hamar Airport Stafsberg.

The video recording of the Stafsberg tower shows that the aircraft was unstable at the time of landing. The plane landed with a "sharp dive angle" on a ground near the airport.

The harbor commission studied the video and felt that the pilot did not have enough skills to control the small plane. They write that he had only four hours of experience with this type of plane.

Suggest to change the security guidelines

The harbor commission proposes two amendments concerning aviation safety after the Hamar accident. They believe that a qualified flight instructor should be involved when pilots discover new types of aircraft. Today, pilots do it themselves.

The Commission also considers that the collapsed aircraft did not have a full flight manual on board. There were only simple leaves in the plane.

As part of the annual aircraft certification, there is no routine to verify that the flight manual is on board. Such procedures should be in place, says the Commission.
