The theater sees the Frisians as racists: the Minister of Culture will not intervene

On Wednesday, Dagbladet wrote on the "Ways of Seeing" theater, where several portraits of Frp and people associated with the Resett website were filmed.

The film is used as part of the installation, where the same people are accused of being part of a racist network.

Helge Lurås, Resett's editor-in-chief, Ingvil Smines Tybring-Gjedde and Christian Tybring-Gjedde all responded to both the content of the play and the experience as a watchdog. The website of the Human Rights Service reveals that Smines Tybring Gjedde, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, has "continued the debate on the political level".

Do not blame me of course

The Minister of Culture, Trine Skei Grande (V), said she had not received any application from Ingvil Smines Tybring-Gjedde or other people about this article.

And whether or not she receives such a request, the Minister of Culture will not intervene.

– I have not had any contact with anyone about it. As Minister of Culture, of course, I do not mix artistic expressions. We also increased the grant to Black Box last year and this year, she told Dagbladet.

Fear of losing state aid

Asked if Skei Grande sees anything that goes beyond the right of artistic expression, Dagbladet announces that the Minister of Culture had informed me if she was responding to anything.

The director, Pia Maria Roll, told Dagbladet that she feared that political expression on the stage would go beyond state aid to the Black Box when the secretary of state Smines Tybring-Gjedde will pronounce herself as she does.

– Should they change the legislation? Should they reduce subsidies? It is very serious that part of the Norwegian government reacts in this way to criticism of its own policy, she said.

Reported threats

Artist Sara Baban told Dagbladet that she had received threats as a result of her participation in the play. On Monday, she reported threats to the police.

"They write that they know where I live, that I am soon deported and that they compare me to Quisling," she told Dagbladet.

– Are you scarred?

"I am the most angry, I feel like being hanged because I am a woman and I am a refugee.
