Many Norwegians have unused credit cards. It did not cost you more than the fees. However, over the next six months, unused credits on these cards will be counted in your debt.

In other words, if a couple has two credit cards, each unused credit card, with a credit limit of 50,000 crowns, the couple will receive 200,000 less crowns in loans, writes VG.

"I have only one tip: cut the cards you do not use and signal to the issuer that the credit should be removed," says Executive Director Ådne Skjelstad of the Lendo refinancing company at VG.

The reason for this change is that the government's registered debt register should be introduced before next summer. The registry will help record card debt, not just the loans you take out with banks or other financial companies.
