SEleven if the house is not so big, Thea Fosslien Lund managed to create a feeling of space using several good solutions. There are narrow, hanging storage cabinets around the dining table and a large mirror on the wall that creates depth.

Although the square solution around the images is presented as a "solution of laziness", the civil engineer does not show up as a late lady. This is not the man either, Alexander Aleksander.

The married couple took possession of the 120-square-meter detached house located in Konnerud in Drammen in 2012 and has renovated all rooms since.

– The house was built in 1974. When we moved in, the Happy 70's were well represented with pink bathrooms and carpeting in the bedrooms, "Thea said.

Compromise and cooperation

The pink bathroom has never been so difficult to meet in the renovation process.

"We just did not agree with what we wanted and we came up with a compromise which no one is really happy with," said at the age of 35.

The renovation continued more slowly. According to Thea, she has the ideas, while the man does a lot of grove work like demolition and sowing. Structure and the latest finish that they have put to others.

"I also paint a lot and I constantly try to plan the whole thing and make sure the pieces fit into each other." As the house is quite small, it's also important that things are practical, it must often be functional in the face of aesthetics.

But the civil engineer managed to make it beautiful and beautiful, and even if her husband never accepted all his ideas, she had a certain freedom.

"He sees that what I find is fine, so I'm creative for my taste," she says.

Interior as decoupling

The interior has always been a major focus for Thea. Already, in the past ten years, she has been looking in interior magazines.

– I read them at home with an old girlfriend, subscriber and dreaming of having a big house of different styles in each room. It may be descriptive of my style today, because I like a lot of different things and I'm just trying to make a personal mix of what I want.

The interior is also a beautiful decoupling.

"My job as a civil engineer and project manager in a machine manufacturing business is hectic, which is why I love my interior and my creativity.

Planning terrace

The next step in the Lund family's renovation plan is to change the floor of the living room, kitchen and hallway, as well as heat the floor. As well as the outdoor terrace, with various trays and stairs between.

With all the efforts made, the couple plans to stay in the house for a long time.

– The location, here in Konnerud, with views of Drammen, and the proximity of the grandparents on both sides, are high. It's a nice and child-friendly neighborhood, says Thea, adding:

"And while the house sometimes feels a bit too small for a family of four, it's just more reasons to think creatively and find solutions that exploit both space and the style.
