The main rescue center in southern Norway reports twitter that people have been saved to. 10:40 pm Wednesday night. They report harsh weather conditions in the area of 10 meter high waves and against the hurricane in the windshields. The people were recovered by a SAR helicopter.
"People will be in good condition and will now be transported by rescue helicopter to Flesland," said Erik Walle, an officer at the National Rescue Center in southern Norway, VG.
The two people had to jump off the sailing boat and go into the ocean to be able to get up by the helicopter, reports TV 2.
The sailboat, which measures 39 feet, sent an emergency signal to. 4:50 pm Wednesday afternoon, about 60 nautical miles west of Fedje in Hordaland, according to Sysla.
