In the early 2000s, Amanda Bynes had a very promising acting career.

Early in her career, she was watching the TV series "All That" with Nick Cannon and Jamie Lynn Spears.

When she was 13, Bynes had her own series titled The Amanda Show and in 2002 she continued with one of the lead roles in the screenplay comedy "What I love about you".

When the series ended in 2006, after four seasons, it was not long before Bynes disappeared "permanently" from the TV screen.

Instead, she started appearing in weekly magazines with scandal headlines.

As a result of a series of racist messages on Twitter and smoking that led to an arrest, Bynes was sent to custody.

In a new interview with Paper Magazine, she recounts this difficult period.

Marijuana and ecstasy

From the age of 16, Bynes started smoking marijuana, and then she went to ecstasy. For her part, she stayed away from cocaine after trying it three times. She mentions the drug as "not her type of baptism".

After Bynes shot the movie "She's The Man" in 2006, in which she was playing a boy with short hair, she fell into a long depression.

– I fell into a deep depression for almost six months, because I did not like my boyish appearance. I have never told anyone before, she admits on the site.

Understand the diagnosis

She started taking the Adderall stimulant, which contains amphetamines, at the same time as she was playing in the movie "Hairspray" with, among others, Zac Efron and John Travolta.

"I read in an article that Adderall was the new pill to lose weight, and that they wrote that women took it to stay slim. I thought I had to take these pills.

She tells him that she went to see a psychiatrist and lied to ADD to get the preparation. Today, Bynes is certain that she has abused drugs.

Retired on Twitter

In 2010, she announced on Twitter that she was interrupting the career of the actor and that she would also focus on clothing design. She regrets it today.
