Hear the direction of choice: – We might have had clearer rules of the game

The outgoing KrF leader, Knut Arild Hareide, was among the guests and had a few weeks to recover from the dramatic direction of the fall that ended on the right.

"We were not clear in 2017. It's probably the reason why I was the most invited guest in the political district to explain." But that's not enough. Did not help, nor did you, I think, said Hareide laughing.

"But on September 28, you chose the left, is that something you think you can do differently now?

"I think the party went a little too far right and I have to take responsibility as a party leader, I think the process was open, honest and democratic – although some things could have been done differently.

– What could you do to keep the party going?

"We could have had clearer rules in five weeks, but things have been like before," said Hareide.

– I'm probably very disappointed

When asked where Hareide is in the mourning process, the answer is clear:

"I am probably the most in the disappointing phase.I saw the potential in the direction that I have indicated and I have never experienced political enthusiasm as great as the weeks that followed my speech of 28 September.

– So you're still a little tired?

– Yes

But if it is the end of Hareide as a senior politician, Hareide will not answer.

"I'm going to move to a new phase, but I'm going to run away and look forward to it.It will be a different role for me, but I do not intend to predict so much about the future.
