Woman found seriously injured in the head – arrested man

A man was arrested after the discovery of a severely injured woman's head in Hurum, Buskerud, on Tuesday morning.

Police and AMK learned that the woman was found seriously injured at her home in Klokkarstua, Hurum, in the 9th century.

"Due to the number of injuries, she was transported by air ambulance to the Ullevål hospital.This is what is called serious damage," says Sheriff Sigrid Andreassen at Røyken and Hurum at Drammen Tidende.

"The police subsequently chose to target the woman's husband in connection with the incident.The man is accused of serious bodily harm," he said in a press release issued by the police district Southeast.

The woman should be in the 40's and her husband in the 50's. It's the husband who reported what had happened. He will be interviewed later.

At present, the police do not wish to provide more information about the incident and points out that it is at the very beginning of the investigation.

"We are working to get a glimpse of what has happened," Andreassen said.
