Rockland must declare state of emergency in case of measles outbreak

Rockland County will declare the state of emergency today due to the measles outbreak, according to a county press release.

Starting at midnight, anyone under the age of 18 who has not been vaccinated against measles will be banned from public places. This prohibition will last until the declaration expires in 30 days or until the persons are vaccinated.

Rockland County Leadership Day will hold a press conference at 2 pm to discuss the state of emergency.
