11-year-old son prevents his father from stabbing his mother, injures himself and a man arrested in MT | Mato Grosso

A 53-year-old man was arrested in Poconé, 104 km from Cuiabá, suspected of having badaulted and attempted to stab his ex-wife on Sunday. According to the civilian police, Valdecir Ferreira Pinto was prevented by his 11-year-old son, who was wounded by removing the knife from his father's hand.

G1 was unable to locate Valdecir's defense.

The arrest of Valdecir was made after the 53-year-old victim herself reported the case to the police.

She said that she was returning from church with her son when she met her ex-husband inside the house, in the neighborhood of Bom Pastor, in this municipality.

At the time, Valdecir said that he wanted to talk and called the victim in the room. He tried to close the door, but was stopped by the victim. Putting her foot in the door, she was pulled by her hair and was hit with slaps on her face.

He then took a knife that he had hidden on the pillow and brandished it to hit the ex.

At that time, the couple's son was holding the knife with his hand and preventing him from carrying the blow. The mother reacted and managed to take the prisoner's knife. The boy had his hand hurt in the fight.

Still during the confusion, Valdecir attacked the son with a slap in the face.

After the confusion, the woman managed to escape and went to the police station where she denounced the fact.
