Abul is known around the world as a "tree man" because of his impressive peel-shaped warts on his hands and feet. Dozens of surgeries were performed in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Abul lost five kilograms of large warts as a result of operations at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital. These huge warts prevented him from taking his daughter in his arms, taking a bath and brushing his teeth. Warts appeared during their teenage years and spread rapidly five years ago, when they were diagnosed as a verruciform epidermodysplasia, a rare genetic disease caused by a defective immune system that increases HPV sensitivity.
