The Federal Highway Police (FRP) recorded 1,166 accidents on federal highways from December 21 to 25, an extended Christmas break, during the Rodovida operation.
During these four days of operation, the casualties left 89 dead and 1,485 wounded ( see figures below ) throughout the country. Accidents
The lack of helmet is one of the the most serious cases recorded in the country.
In Carazinho (RS), four people died as a result of an accident between a car and a bus. The pbadenger of the bus who died was without a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

During the Christmas period, the PRF recorded more than 70 overruns per hour in gross overruns on federal highways, and also 72,725 in speed.
The surveillance measures also dealt with the consumption of alcoholic beverages at the wheel – over the course of four days, 1 907 driving offenses were committed after drinking alcoholic beverages a blatant for 21 tests performed breathalyzer.
5,807 other drivers were found without a seatbelt. During inspections, the FRP also issued 946 offense notices for motorcyclists without a helmet and 1,020 drivers were caught traveling with children without a car seat.

Another 1,418 drivers were found without a seatbelt. During the inspections, the PRF issued 232 notices of offense against motorcyclists without a helmet and 278 drivers were caught carrying children without a car seat.
