Police arrest a suspicious couple in Victoria's death

A man and a woman suspected of involvement in the death of the daughter Vitória Gabrielly were arrested this morning in Mairinque, in the interior of São Paulo.

According to preliminary information, the couple had been questioned, but presented contradictions by reporting several alibis for the day and the time of the crime. According to one investigator, the two men were taken to Mairinque's civilian police station for logistical reasons. The identity of the suspects has not been revealed.

On Thursday, twenty-eight-year-old bricklayer Julio César Lima was charged with manslaughter. He denies having participated in the crime, but states that he was with a couple who took the Victoria girl by car the day she was murdered.

The 12-year-old girl, Vitória Gabrielly Guimarães Vaz, was found dead along a rural road in Araçariguama, in the interior of São Paulo, on the 16th. She had been missing since June 8 , when she left the skill indicated that the girl had been killed violently, by strangulation, the very day of her disappearance.
