Frostpunk, a 11-Bit Polish Studios game, was voted Best Game at the 2018 Big Festival Awards. The title is now available for PC and brings a city-building, survival and strategy mechanic into an alternative setting in 1886
Already the category of the best Brazilian game was No Heroes Here, the frantic defense of the cooperative and the multiplayer castle of Mad Mimic Interactive. The game also won the category of the best game by popular vote. Brazil has won several other awards for the 2018 Big Festival, including Best Children's Play, Fofuuu, and Big Impact: Educational, by Marvelous Inc.
In this edition, the event had 15 categories, including three unseen: best student game, best multiplayer and best game for kids. In total, R $ 45,000 was distributed in prizes, divided into the categories: Best Game (R $ 10,000), Best Brazilian Game (R $ 10,000), Best Latin-American Game (R $ 10,000), BIG Impact: Educational category (5,000 reais, sponsored by Dow Chemicals) and Best VR Game (5,000 reais). The remaining R $ 5,000 is for the game chosen by event visitors in the Popular Vote category. In addition to the cash prize, No Heroes Here also organized an awareness campaign at IGN Brazil and an Indie International Award for Casual Connect Asia 2018.
