The joint command of the armed forces issued a report on the operation conducted since the early hours of the morning in the communities of Chapadão and Pedreira, north of Rio, one of the regions of the city where they happen more cargo thefts because of its proximity to Via Dutra and Avenida Brasil.

The armed forces overturned 36 barricades placed by traffic in the main accesses to the hills of Chapadão and Pedreira to prevent the pbadage of cars from the state security forces.
