From Simon to Peter

St. Peter, formerly called Simon, was chosen by our Lord with the other eleven apostles to spread to the Gospel the Catholic faith, a new doctrine endowed with the power that has just been born
Our Lord asked his disciples: "And who do you say that I am?"

Saint Peter was the one among the disciples of Jesus proclaimed the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ: Then Peter answered, "You are the M essays," the Anointed, the Consecrated of God ".
"You are the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Mt 16,16)

Thus came the affirmation of Our Lord: "You are the Stone, and on this rock I will build my Church ". Peter is declared a stone, to symbolize the solidity and durability of the Church that would be founded under the true rock: Christ.

When she is declared a stone, she receives the power of the keys, with the power to turn on and off on Earth and in

Peter and Paul

After the death of Christ, Peter began to play the role of visible leader of the Church, vicar of Jesus Christ, taking special care of the apostolate with communities of Hebrew origin.

Paul, in turn, an old persecutor of Christians, converts through a clear manifestation of the will of God and no longer persecutes Christians, but the Glory of Christ, spreading the Word of Christ.

the letters are proof of the fervent and relentless zeal that consumed him in the search for his perseverance and love for God, the spreading of the good news of Christ and the spiritual progress of the various communities converted to Catholicism

It is St. Paul who encouraged the conversion of non-Jewish peoples, also giving them the opportunity to be part of the Mystical Body.

Peter, having magnificently fulfilled the mission of Vicar of Christ, is arrested and condemned to the death of the Cross, but judging himself unworthy of dying in the same way that his Lord asks to be crucified with his head down , and it happened.

The work done by São Paulo is too long. It would be almost impossible to describe here all the work done by him, both for his extensive and glorious riches, but also for the many works in favor of Christianity.

And that, in fact, generated an incredible hatred against him.

Even at the time of his martyrdom, he did not perform wondrous marvels: when he was beheaded, his head hit the ground three times, hitting the ground.

Two Columns, Two Foundations

Both are sources from which three sources have so far originated, so much so. water flows. Considered as pillars and foundations of the Church, for the very important role they played in spreading and defending the Christian faith.

Both have brought their love to Christ to the highest degree that He can reach. to give their lives for the Lord.

In summary: Saint Peter and Saint Paul are complete. They are one of the great examples of the diversity of God's calling and calling to souls and, above all, they represent the perfection with which these calls are to be fulfilled: total dedication and love for the Lord [19659005]
