According to Instagram, the novelty will initially be available in only seven countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom. It is not yet known when the feature will be released in Brazil, but some users indicate that they already have the new function in the application.
The user will not be able to insert an audio file stored in the mobile phone as a sticker. Instead, there will be a music library within the Instagram itself with thousands of tracks of different genres. It will present a list of popular tracks, and will allow you to filter by genre and style.
After capturing a photo or video of Stories, the option of adding the music sticker will be in the tray of the sticker of the platform, which gives access to the Instagram library. The user can only select a specific part of the song to include in the stories. The name and the artist of the song appear in the last message of the information on the sticker.
You can also choose the track for a video before recording. The built-in camera in the app brings a new "Music" option in the footer, next to modes like "Text" and "Live". The same parameters are available: a collection of thousands of tracks and the cutting tool to extract the optimal range to use. In the sequence, the user can record the video accompanying the song.
The sticker arrives at the same time on Android and iOS, but the mode that lets you choose the music before the recording is broadcast first on the Apple system. According to Instagram, the feature will soon be available on Google's software.
