In Santa Catarina, one commune in four is infested by the mosquito Aedes aegypti, which transmits diseases such as dengue fever, chikungunya fever and zika virus. Compared to the last bulletin, the municipality of Cunhataí in the West was included in the list of infestations. The State also adds 45 cases of dengue fever, 29 of which were contracted within SC . Itapema accumulates the largest number of cases (26). Balneário Camboriú recorded three. In addition to dengue, other diseases transmitted by the mosquito Aedes aegypti are also recorded in the state. To date, eight cases of chikungunya fever have been confirmed in Santa Catarina, three of which have been contracted in the state (two in Cunha Porã and one in São Miguel do Oeste).
