Netflix announced Friday the main cast of the Brazilian series "Thing Most Beautiful". As a protagonist, the series will rely on Maria Casadevall, portraying the conservative and obedient Maria Luiza. Actresses Fernanda Vaconcellos, Pathy Dejesus and Mel Lisboa will be feminist friends of Maria Luiza, who will help her in the mission of founding a Bossa Nova nightclub. Thaila Ayala, Leandro Lima and Ícaro Silva will also participate in the production.

"Thing Most Beautiful" will be a drama of the era, between the late 1950s and the early 1960s. The plot follows Maria Luiza, a conservative and obedient woman who has always depended on her father, Ademar and her husband, Pedro. When Pedro disappears, she has to travel from São Paulo to Rio de Janeiro, where her husband has planned to open an elegant restaurant. Driven by contact with new ideals, she decides to stay in the city and devotes herself to transforming Pedro's property into a Bossa Nova nightclub, a decision that marks the awakening of a pbadionate transformation in the character.

The series began filming last week, but until now, the start date has not been revealed yet. Created by Heather and Guilino Cedroni, the first season of "More Beautiful Thing" will feature eight episodes of one hour each.
