The Safe Direction program – action coordinated by Detran.SP for the prevention and reduction of traffic accidents and deaths caused by alcohol consumption combined with management – evaluated six people in a police operation performed on Saturday (30), in Ribeirão Pires
During the blitz held at kilometer 91 of the Mário Covas road, 406 vehicles were inspected. The drivers were charged with drunken driving and will be fined R $ 2,934.70, in addition to responding to an administrative proceeding in Detran.SP for suspension of the right to drive for 12 months.
INTEGRATED ACTION
Launched at the Carnaval in 2013, the Segura Direction program includes Detran.SP police, military, civilian and technical-scientific teams. Under the Seca Law (Law 12.760 / 2012), all motorists caught in default are entitled to a sufficient defense until the national driving license (CNH) is effectively suspended. If the driver commits the same offense again within 12 months, the fine will be doubled.
