The Minister of Labor, Helton Yomura, was suspended from office in a new phase of Operation Spurious Registration, launched by the federal police on Thursday (5). The request for suspension, made by the PF, was authorized by Minister Edson Fachin of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
In the decision, Yomura was barred from attending the Ministry of Labor and maintaining contact with other investigators or portfolio servants.
On Thursday morning, PF also served search and seizure warrants in the office of Federal Representative Nelson Marquezelli (PTB-SP). Like Yomura, he was banned from attending the ministry and staying in touch with other investigators and bureaucrats, except when this is essential to the exercise of the MP position.

According to the police, the investigations and material collected in the early phases of Operation Spurious Register indicate the involvement of new actors and emphasize that the positions in the structure of the Ministry of Labor were filled with people engaged in the interests of the criminal group, allowing the maintenance of illegal actions.
According to the PF, Helton Yomura was appointed Minister of Labor to pursue the irregularities. Police pointed out that he is an "iron head" of the PTB chiefs, a party that work in the government Michel Temer.
Police stated that Yomura's role was to "interfere" with Federal Representative Cristiane Brasil (PTB-RJ) in the portfolio, and to "follow the desmandos" of PTB President Roberto Jefferson to the ministry. Jefferson is Cristiane's father. She was chosen by Temer to take over the Ministry of Labor in January of this year, but was hampered by court decisions.

According to the investigations, the "political core" of the supposed project would have like participants, besides the deputies, the president of PTB, deputy cbadado Roberto Jefferson; the deputy of MP Ademir Camilo Prates Rodrigues (MDB-MG); and Senators Dalírio Beber (PSDB-SC) and Cidinho Santos (PR-MT), currently under mandate.
The PF also asked for the arrest of Robert Jefferson, but Fachin did not respond. According to the minister, there are indications that he knew the scheme, but not that he benefited from it.
