The Municipal Department of Health of Bauru, through the Collective Health Department, announced, in the late afternoon of this Thursday (5), the confirmation of five new positive cases of influenza, four case of H1N1, with confirmed death, and one case of H3N2. All patients had fever, shortness of breath, cough and body pain.
The H1N1 flu cases are: a 56-year-old male belonging to the at-risk group (chronic cardiovascular disease), deceased on 28/6/2018; a 71-year-old woman in the at-risk group (diabetes); a 38-year-old male belonging to the at-risk group (obesity); and a 47-year-old man belonging to the laugh group (obesity);
With the exception of death, all were unloaded and recovered at home. Three of them are residents of the northwestern region and a resident of the southeastern region of the city
The case of H3N2 is a 20-year-old woman belonging to the at-risk group (pregnant with the thirtieth week). The municipality has 22 positive influenza cases in 2018, 19 H1N1 cases with 7 deaths and 3 cases of H3N2 influenza
] The health units of Bela Vista, Independência, Mary Dota, the 39 USF Vila São Paulo, Centro and Falcão, who attended extended hours (up to 20 hours), closed the special service on Thursday (5).
Starting Friday (6), the units will return to normal working hours. The Municipal Health Department emphasizes that doses will remain available until stocks are reduced to zero, as directed by the Ministry of Health.
To date, 85% of the target audience has been vaccinated in Bauru. 76,028 doses were administered in the highest risk group and 15,699 in the case of chronic diseases, for a total of 91,727 doses. The weakest coverage groups are still those of children (70%) and pregnant women (66%).
