To increase vaccination coverage against influenza, the city of Recife uses flying stations, Saturday (7) and Sunday (8). The strategy aims to reach children from six months to five years and has exceeded the goal of the Ministry of Health, which is 90%. Since the beginning of the national campaign, the capital has reached 82.6% of the public in this age group.
Flying stations are in places of great motion in the city. Among them are parks, shopping malls and supermarkets. According to the municipal administration, last week about 750 doses of vaccine were applied in mobile units.
The professionals of the municipal network have intensified in communities the active search for children who have not yet been vaccinated.
Vaccination can also be done until noon this Friday (6), in 170 units of the Ministry of Health, for children from 5 to less than 10 years and adults from 50 years.
In Recife, according to the town hall, 372 thousand doses have already been applied, exceeding the target (90%) set by the federal government for certain priority groups.
City management reports that 100% of people over 60 and women who have had babies in recent months as well as teachers have been vaccinated.
