The Xbox One receives the July update with FastStart, so you expect less when downloading a game. It uses machine learning to identify the really needed parts and those that can be obtained later.
Yes, the Xbox already offered Ready to Start, which allows you to enter the game without downloading it, completely.
Worse: In some cases, the user can not play, just by looking at the menu or loading screen until the download is complete.
Meanwhile, with FastStart, the developer has nothing to do. The system identifies the files needed to start playing, and prioritizes the download from them; the rest is downloaded in the background.
FastStart promises that the user will enter his games twice as fast. And as you can see below, Xbox tells you the exact download point where you can play:
According to Polygon 23 games support FastStart, some of which came out at Originally on the Xbox 360 and the first Xbox. Remember that this only works with the English versions of the titles below.
