For all activities developed in life one must have health. For this reason, Copagril and the Entente Toujours-Vie have done a voluntary action to stimulate the population of Marshal Cândido Rondon to take care of health, work done in the framework of Day C – Cooperation Day.

For three days, the cooperative offered free blood glucose and blood pressure tests for interested parties. On June 29, they stood in front of the Copagril I supermarket, on Avenida Maripá, a popular traffic area. The public service was held until 17 hours. On June 28, the same action took place in the supermarket II and the 27th, in the industrial unit of Copagril birds. On occasions, Covenant Always Life professionals and Ceretta College's Nursing Technical Course inform people about healthy habits and, based on tests, recommend a medical orientation.

The blood glucose test is the procedure used to measure the amount of blood glucose. This test helps to identify if the sugar level is higher than normal, which may indicate the possibility of diagnosing diabetes, a disease caused by the lack or malabsorption of insulin, hormone produced by the pancreas whose function is to break down glucose molecules. to be used by all cells.

The measurement of blood pressure, in turn, is important to determine if there is a change in pressure from levels considered normal. It may be below or above the normal (hypertension) norm. Among the pressure-related diseases are pulmonary hypertension, arterial hypotonia and arterial hypertension – which in Brazil affects about 24% of the population.

The early identification of these diseases allows the adoption of treatment and habits that can relieve symptoms, causing people to have a better quality of life.
