Daredevil is canceled by Netflix

After three seasons, Netflix officially canceled the Daredevil series (via Variety). Recently, the streaming service also ended Luke Cage and Iron Fist, leaving only The Punisher and Jessica Jones on Netflix's Marvel series list.

"Daredevil will not be coming back for a fourth season on Netflix.We are very proud of last season and although this is painful for fans, we think it's best to close the story in beauty, "said a customer service representative in a statement released by Variety. "We are grateful to showrunner Erik Oleson, screenwriters, staff and actors, including Charlie Cox and Daredevil, and we thank the fans who have supported us over the years."

"The three seasons will remain in service for years to come, while Daredevil will live future Marvel projects."

In 2019, Disney, owner of Marvel, plans to launch its own streaming service, called Disney +.
