BRASÍLIA – Businessman Cesar Augusto Craveiro de Amorim, director of the High End Society, confirmed to the Federal Police that he received R $ 300,000 in cash from Carlos Miranda, former Governor of Governor Sérgio Cabral (MDB ), for installation of a sound system in the house of Piri Governor Luiz Fernando Pezão (MDB).

Caesar Amorim, also arrested during the operation, testifies before the PF. His statements confirm the investigators' suspicion that the work done in Pezão's house was cashed with money from the criminal organization headed by Cabral-Miranda, who donated as a reward . According to the businessman, he has installed a home theater system and sound environment in the recreation area of the house in Pezão, in Rio County, inside the Rio, at the request of Sérgio Cabral and with the agreement of the current governor. At the time, Cabral was governor of the state and Pezão, his vice.
"The declarant presented the project loan to Cabral, claiming that the value was around 350,000 dollars," he said in his testimony. Cabral then, according to the report, "gave orders to carry out the project":
"On the order of Cabral, Pezão knew that an audio and video system would be installed at his home in Piraí," said the businessman.
After completing the service, Miranda was responsible for managing the payment in cash and without issuing an invoice. A discount of R $ 50,000 had therefore been granted, said César Amorim.
"Carlos Miranda personally donated $ 300,000 in cash to Casa Shopping's High End store to pay for the equipment and services," he said. "Carlos Miranda said that he should not issue tax invoices and that because of this, the amount paid would be reduced and would reach R $ 300,000," he said.
César Amorim also indicated that he had provided free audio equipment services for the campaign to the Government of Rio de Cabral in 2010. With this, later, in 2014, he provided the same service for the Pezão election campaign, but issued tax notes and payments were made formally, by check or deposit, according to the report.
Asked by PF, Amorim said that he had never received any credit surrender from Cabral's doleiros, nor any other payment exceeding R $ 300,000 from Carlos Miranda. He also denied being part of the criminal organization.
