RIO – After being rejected by the biological family and two families intending to adopt a child, the small Enzo, aged eight, was welcomed by the couple Kairon Patrick Oliveira da Silva, 29, and Sílvio Romero Bernardes Fagundes, 40, their new parents. The adoption application was granted by Judge Felipe Jales Soares, from the 1st family court, probate, child and youth forum Águas Lindas de Goiás (GO) the 12.
Enzo has been living in a shelter since he was 3 years old and has seen his adopted brothers. In fact, two of them were on the forum to review it on the day of adoption. However, it took him longer to have the same opportunity to find a home. Two families who wanted to adopt him rejected because the boy had been diagnosed with attention deficit disorder with a behavioral disorder and hyperactivity disorder.
"I am very happy, now I have two parents and I love them," said the boy. "My parents are great for me and I really love them."
According to Kairon, the early days were difficult because adoption was late.
– But we were able to build a new reality, with the help of psychologists and professionals, that would help us solve all this situation that it caused, namely rejection. It was very complicated. The family is still the base of their children, "said Kairon in an interview with EXTRA on Friday." It's a wonderful son. The first week he had already called us father. It was the easiest thing of all. His reaction was a joy.
Despite the diagnosis of attention deficit at the shelter, Kairon said that it was an erroneous finding. After the adoption, the boy was taken to another specialist where the family resides in Brasilia. According to Kairon, the professional found that Enzo was suffering from no disorder.
– The first school diagnosed him with the same problem, then we changed school and he showed behavioral improvements. We think this is due to the fact that the second school knew how to work with him. His social inclusion was well done. We have great support from the school. The first, on the other hand, has generated a great social exclusion – declared the ceremonialist.
Still according to the father, Silvio and himself now enjoy, after the initial period of adaptation, every moment of routine with the child. Kairon explained that her family likes to travel in her spare time, but that she can still find time to pay attention to the boy in the middle of the daily run, for example by bringing him to his office.
Judge Felipe Levi believes that people wishing to adopt a child should have open hearts and minds. For the magistrate, there is no doubt that adoption is in Enzo 's best interest, according to the Statute of the Child and the Adolescent.
"As is clear from any investigation into the case, there is no doubt that he has received the best of all families," he said, according to a statement from the court of justice of Goiás.
The judge also noted the improved behavior and health of Enzo after the adoption.
"Enzo, you have not only received the best home, but also companies that will teach you, day after day, to be a man, to treat people well and develop, like you, a warrior. that turned out to be and that, will definitely stay, "Levi told the boy.
According to the parents, the boy understands the new structure of his family and has never suffered prejudice as a son of a homoafetivo couple. Silvio recounted the experience as a whole, explaining that prejudices are much more prevalent in adults than in children.
"We are the proof that unconditional love changes everyone, we changed our son and we also changed, he taught us to love more, but today we understand why he had to go through everything. this so that these two rejections catch us, "said the sales manager.
Kairon and Silvio met Enzo in December 2017, when he was 7 years old. The names of new parents and grandparents are already included in the boy's birth certificate.
"I went alone to the shelter, at first I had no contact with Enzo, but it was love at first sight, then we came back together and he felt something different for the boy" Kairon reported.
After an audience, Enzo was released to spend a weekend with the couple, but what had to be a weekend became a temporary guard.
"Enzo did not sleep alone and did not like to shower, every day was a scandal, but I always wanted to be a father and I would not give up because of that," Kairon said. adding that the son was enrolled in a private school where the psychologist would advise them not to stay with the child. "She badured us that it would not change," is it risky.
The adoption process was initiated in another state, but the couple was transferred to Aguas Lindas de Goiás because of the difficulties encountered.
"Here we are welcome, we are prejudiced even in clbad, we feel left out, the Goiás court and the judge of this district have to be congratulated, because of this our family was born", explained Silvio.
