Spotify may have been offering a feature requested by its users for years. According to Jane Wong, developer on Twitter, the Android streaming service application is currently testing a novelty that would allow users to import locally saved music into Spotify playlists. Until then, this was only possible in office service applications.
Thus, streaming service users would not need two different applications to listen to music on smartphones running the Robot system. Spotify itself would be able to focus the songs in streaming and uploaded to the same place.
Because Spotify tested the new features of their applications in a very silent way, the company behind the service did not comment on the discovery. We do not know when and if this new feature will actually be available to everyone.
Spotify was testing changes to its interface for months, but only changed it very slowly. The old promise to simplify the application and make it less dense remains to be fulfilled. In addition, the Android application suffers from several strange connectivity issues, detrimental to the user experience.
