Microsoft announced Thursday (29) a new set of icons for Office Suite programs, all with a style very different from that of the company. We now have confirmation that Windows 10 and all other Microsoft products will also acquire new icons.
This confirmation came from Jon Friedman, the head of office design, who published an article in Medium introducing the new package. of icons last week. In his comments, he replied that Microsoft was striving to modernize its icons throughout the company.
"Creating a common design system for 10 icons at a time is a huge undertaking – now that we have an established system, we are going to start adapting it to all Microsoft products," Friedman told a reader. ]
As the icons were created with the inspiration of Fluent Design from Windows 10 (and apparently also from Google's Material Design), we can imagine that Microsoft's operating system is the only way to get the most out of it. one of the first to receive a new icon design.
] Apart from that, in the official presentation video of the Office Icons – which you see above – some images indicated before that can be Windows 10 with modernized icons. Applications such as Photos, E-mail, Calculator and Calendars have all appeared with different images in the Start menu of the operating system. Even the file explorer has acquired new icons.
It is also possible that Microsoft is embarking on a gigantic enterprise of modernizing all Windows 10 icons into deeper system options. Some of them, especially the remnants of the old Control Panel, are already very dated and are more than 10 or 15 years old.

There is however no prediction as to when all these changes in the design of Windows icons could occur. We hope that at least a first batch of new icons will be posted in 2019.
At the same time, does Microsoft plan to update the visual interface of Windows 10 itself? Leave your comment in the comments section.
