New York City becomes the first city to pbad legislation providing for the creation of a minimum wage for digital transport workers. The measure will begin to take effect in mid-January and will benefit 96% of application drivers such as Uber and Lyft.
At the top of the measure are taxes and the Limousine Commission, which calculated an annual increase in drivers who, between 2016 and 2017, saw their income fall by 10%. The approved minimum wage is $ 27.86 per person and $ 17.22 after tax.

Uber and Lyft, interviewed by Business Insider, objected to this measure, claiming that it would have a negative effect on prices and behavior.
