. Anvisa recommends not to interrupt treatment until after consulting the doctor. Healthcare professionals should inform patients who are already taking hydrochlorothiazide-based medications about the risk of skin cancer other than melanoma.

Anyone who uses drugs containing this substance should regularly check the skin and inform the doctor if they notice any new signs.
