Hymn and the challenge of creating a shared experience

In 1995 in Canada, Ray Muzyka, Greg Zeschuk and Augustine Yip founded BioWare, the company behind the creation of major role-playing franchises. Twenty-three years later, the studio retains its name on the market, with a legacy filled with games from Dragon Age, Mbad Effect and even Star Wars. Although some of these games offer multiplayer experiences, BioWare's recognition is stronger in the single-player game, with memorable courses and characters that are loved by many. The goal of the studio is to make the world their new big bet: Anthem was announced at E3 2017 with a proposal to offer a huge shared experience. In a totally online world, you can meet friends to perform missions and other activities in the game. But make no mistake: even with the focus on the cooperative, Anthem will not let the narrative next to. To learn more about the game and its challenges, we spoke with producer Scylla Costa at the Comic Con Experience 2018 event.

Costa has been working for more than 10 years on BioWare after being involved in the development Mbad Effect 2, 3 and Andromeda and Dragon Age: Inquisition. For him, Anthem's big challenge was to create a cooperative experience that took into account the studio's narrative model.

Anthem will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on February 22, 2019, in Brazilian Portuguese through subtitles. In January and early February, the game will be tested on all platforms.
