VW now wants to use the same piece of R identity to visit the German Nürburgring track and come out with the fastest time for electric cars. To do this, you must adapt the prototype to a use other than altitude, that is to say reduce the size of aerodynamic appendages, even to make it faster straight.

I.D.. R has the time achieved by the Nio EP9, an electric vehicle but standard, which set the best performance of the legendary German road in 6 minutes, 45 seconds and 900 thousandths, vaguely baduming the super sport of fast production, pbaded to electricity or gasoline.

The first simulations suggest that ID R can make a turn below 5.30.000, VW's technicians admitting that they are still in the initial preparations for a new record.
