The legal battle between Qualcomm and Apple continues, and in China, the chip maker has just won a preliminary injunction prohibiting the sale and importation of many older models of the iPhone. The problem concerns the 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8 and 8 Plus and iPhone X – whose manufacture has resumed thanks to an agreement with Samsung.
Apple does not seem very concerned about the decision, saying that iOS 12 – which supports all the above-mentioned models – avoids the patent dispute that led to the process;
Qualcomm banned the sale of the iPhone in China for more than a year after attempting to ban it also in the United States.
Inventory is only part of it. from a legal battle where Apple blames Qualcomm for using its dominant position in the market to charge abusive prices.
Qualcomm also accused the apple of stealing source codes and sharing them with Intel, its competitor who provides modems.
In its recent ruling, the Chinese court declared that Apple was violating Qualcomm's software patents specific to resizing and managing applications, that is, with some software modifications.
In a recent statement to Reuters, the Cupertino giant said:

We can not forget that Qualcomm has already been fined a few million dollars for "abusing its monopoly in China and Taiwan" on modems.
