Firefighters were fired Wednesday morning (12) to contain a major fire that affected three floors of a building located in the 25 de Março area, in central São Paulo.
The flames reached a building housing shops and a fabric factory in Cavalheiro Basílio Jafet Street, at the corner of Jorge Azem Street. The building is atingo and would still house warehouses for weaving.
According to firefighters, until now, there is no information about injuries. At least 20 fire crews were deployed on the scene.
Police and experts are still investigating the causes of the flames.
On the ground floor of the building was a cafeteria and a fabric store that had been operating for 47 years.
