This Thursday, at 8 pm (Brasilia), the Brazilian Football Confederation will draw the first matches of the Brazil Cup 2019. GloboEsporte.com broadcasts live and in real time.
The next edition of the tournament will be played in the style of 2018: first phase with single game and mastery of the field of the club the lowest ranked; second phase with unique game and lottery defined control.
In all, 11 teams participate directly in the eighth finals: Palmeiras, Flamengo, Internacional, Grêmio, São Paulo and Atletico MG (who finished Brasileirão in the G-6), Cruzeiro (Northeast Cup champion), (Northeast Cup champion), (champion of the Brazil Cup), Atlético-PR (7th place in Brasileirão, according to the regulations), Paysandu (Green Cup champion) and Fortaleza (B series champion).
In the draw on Thursday, 80 more clubs will be divided into eight pots (ten each), according to the scores of the national ranking of clubs. The CBF has not revealed the pots, but it is possible to predict where they will be placed.
