CAOA Chery presented its plans for sales growth next year. The information was revealed by the company's CEO, Marcio Alfonso, at the launch this week of the Arrizo 5 sedan and the long-awaited compact Tiggo 5x SUV
. According to the executive, the national automaker plans to close 2019 with approximately 38,000 units sold, that is to say, employing almost four times more models than this year's volume. CAOA Chery is expected to close 2018 with 10,000 copies registered.
Alfonso explains that the optimism of the brand lies in the rapid expansion of the model range. If until then the brand only counted with the subcompact QQ and the Tiggo 2, the range will be much larger until the end of January 2019 since the two models will join Tiggo 7 and the new models Arrizo 5 and Tiggo 5x. With more sport utility vehicles (SUVs), a brand that has distinguished itself in the choice of Brazilians, the brand hopes to attract a much wider audience within its dealer network. By the way, CAOA Chery wants to open more outlets in the coming months and reach 111 dealers by the end of next year, thus establishing a much wider coverage of the entire national territory.
If you reach approximately 40,000 license plates per year, CAOA Chery will have a size equivalent to that of brands such as the French Peugeot and Citroën brands and even Mitsubishi. According to the scenario of the next year, CAOA Chery could even outbid these companies, because at least this year, their titles will be of the order of 20 000 units, as you give it in our ranking .
CAOA CEO Chery also revealed that Tiggo 8, a large SUV that can accommodate 7 people, will be launched in Brazil by the end of 2019. The model has already been revealed to the public in this year's edition of Salão de São Paulo.
Autoo also interviewed Henrique Sampaio, marketing director at CAOA Chery, who predicted that by 2019 he should begin making improvements to the brand's entry model, the QQ, now badembled in Jacareí ( SP) next to Tiggo 2 and Arrizo 5.
The subcompact should benefit from constructive and finishing improvements, but should retain the same mechanical badembly now composed of the 1.0 engine and the box manual gear. However, there is still no preview of the QQ facelift for next year.
