SÃO PAULO, December 14 (Reuters) – Luiza magazine announced Friday (14) the acquisition of the young mining company Softbox, specializing in solutions for retail companies and the consumer goods sector wishing to realize digital sales to consumers.
Following this acquisition, Luiza Magazine has become a digital platform present from online sales until delivery to the end customer.
The value of the activity was not informed. Softbox has 256 employees and approximately 80 customers, including Unilever, Coca-Cola and Basf.
Softbox is the third startup acquired by Luiza Magazine in about a year. In addition to the mining sector, the retailer has acquired Integra, specializing in the integration of e-commerce and market operations, as well as Logbee, a logistics technology company.
"In our opinion, this acquisition fits with the company's objectives of an all-digital and multichannel company, outpacing its major competitors on the digital path," said the team of Brazil Plural brokerage, in a note to clients in which she reiterates an overweight recommendation of the action.
In his presentation to investors, Frederico Trajano, president of Luiza Magazine, said that the acquisition of Softbox will allow the company to "strengthen its project" in order to create a digital platform. Jr.)
