Claims
The Department of Finance reported that the reduction was possible because of the amount of resources accumulated in technical reserves that exceeded the Department's actuarial requirements. The surplus, as the portfolio explains, is a consequence of the measures taken to combat fraud, which led to a significant reduction in losses, which adds to the profitability of the accumulated resources.
At the present time, the DPVAT Insurance pays about R 2 billion per annum compensation. The Council has also defined a new rural insurance modality. The resolution defines the crops and crops that can be insured, the minimum coverage, the maximum compensation limits, the calculation of these benefits, in addition to the coverage period.
