The Radeon Technology (RTG) group management business is changing rapidly in 2018 and another executive decided to leave the company. Mike Rayfield, President and Deputy General Manager of the Graphic Division of AMD, is retiring at the end of the year.

"He made the decision to spend more time with his family and search for their personal pbadions," the company said in an email sent to Anandtech . Before joining Radeon, the executive also worked for Nvidia, head of the Tegra division, and was also part of the Micron mobile memory industry.

With the departure of Rayfield, David Wang will badume the role of interim division of the AMD graphics chip. Wang became a key player in the company after leaving Raja Koduri, where he became the group's technical manager.

Wang already has extensive experience in AMD business and joined the company in the early 2000s while working at ATI as a graphics processor engineer. Given the familiarity of the executive with RTG, the transition of the command will probably be fluid.
