Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza said on Sunday (16) that Nicolás Maduro was invited to the inauguration of Brazil's elected President, Jair Bolsonaro, on 1 January. However, the future foreign minister, Ernesto Araújo, said earlier that the Venezuelan president was not invited "with respect to the inhabitants of this country".
On Twitter, Arreaza published two diplomatic notes attributed to the Itamaraty Palace, still under the command of Aloysio Nunes, appointed by President Michel Temer. In them, there is the supposed invitation made to Maduro by the Brazilian government.
